Soon after Time Warner received the fauxplaint, they contacted my friend and apologized profusely. He was unaware of the complaint and was quick to deny sending it in. Time Warner ignored what he said (as per usual) and forwarded his “complaint” to QVC. A few weeks later, 2 $50 QVC gift cards arrived in his mail to alleviate the faux situation (see one of the gift cards below).
The moral of the story? Play the race/religion card whenever you want something for free. Or as they say in the NBA, flop.
